President Trump made headlines when he pointed out that Obama wiretapped him during the election. The former administration’s director of national intelligence James Clapper recently denied having any knowledge of a wiretapping talking place. But Kellyanne Conway had the perfect response.
Kellyanne Conway challenged James Comey. Comey has a history of following what he believes in and during the election he did things that pissed off both liberals and conservatives. As Kellyanne pointed out, James Comey isn’t shy. Kellyanne suggested that Comey should know about the wiretapping.
“If Mr. Comey has something he’d like to say I’m sure we’re all willing to hear it. All I saw was a published news report. I didn’t see a statement from him. I don’t know what Mr. Comey knows,” said Kellyanne Conway to Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News.
“If he knows, of course he can issue a statement. We know he’s not shy,” said Kellyanne. Pirro added that no matter what type of surveillance was ordered under Title III criminal or counter-intelligence, Comey would be awayre of his existence.
“He knows, and if he’s pushing back, we’ve got a real problem between the head of the FBI and the president,” Pirro said. Kellyanne responded. “We have a double standard here of anonymous sources. The media are so quick to rely upon them for everything … that’s negative or derogatory towards this president. If it’s positive and exonerating they don’t want to hear about it,” said Kellyanne.
